Vezmo vs Square: an alternative for selling online

Square is built for selling in person, with card readers, a POS and an online store. Its help center says it doesn't support card processing outside the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, the UK, Ireland, France and Spain. Vezmo is for selling online, with invoices, payment links and checkout, and businesses in Mexico, Brazil, the UAE, Singapore and many more countries can apply.

Choose Vezmo if
  • You sell online from a country Square doesn't serve, such as Mexico, Brazil or the UAE
  • Most of your sales are online: a $100 US card costs $3.08, against $3.20 to $3.60 on Square
  • Clients pay large invoices from a US bank: Vezmo caps ACH at $10, Square's Free plan doesn't
Choose Square if
  • You sell in person and need card readers and a POS
  • You want POS software such as a kitchen display, kiosks or gift cards
  • Clients pay small invoices from a US bank, where Square's 1% costs less
