Accounts, stablecoin and cards
01
Who this applies to
This policy applies to everyone who uses Vezmo: payments, Vezmo Accounts, stablecoin, cards and our business tools. It is part of our Terms of Service.
If Vezmo acts as merchant of record for your sales, for card-network and settlement purposes only, the stricter Prohibited Products Policy also applies to what you sell.
02
Never allowed
You may not use Vezmo, directly or through someone else, for:
- Anything illegal where you or your customers are, or where the money is sent or received.
- Fraud, scams or deception, including selling things you don’t deliver or misleading people about what you sell.
- Money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or hiding where money comes from or goes.
- People, businesses, countries or regions under sanctions, such as Cuba, Iran, North Korea and the occupied regions of Ukraine, or anyone on a sanctions list.
- Accepting or moving money on behalf of other people or businesses (for example as a payment facilitator, aggregator, money transmitter or exchange), or reselling Vezmo’s services, unless we agree in writing. Paying your own suppliers and contractors is fine.
- Paying yourself with your own cards or accounts to create a balance or cash out (self-funding), or splitting payments to avoid limits or reports.
- Using another person’s identity, account, card or wallet, or letting someone else use yours.
- Child sexual abuse material, content that promotes violence or hate, or non-consensual intimate content.
- Infringing anyone’s intellectual property, or selling counterfeit goods.
- Attacking, overloading, scraping or reverse engineering Vezmo, or getting around our limits and security.
These lists are examples, not a complete list. If you’re unsure whether something is allowed, ask us first.
03
Allowed only with our approval
These businesses need our written approval before you use Vezmo for them, and may need extra checks or limits. Some of them our partners don’t support at all, in which case we will say no:
- Exchanging, trading, lending or holding crypto-assets for others, including exchanges, wallets, DeFi and NFT platforms.
- Money services: remittance, currency exchange, check cashing, prepaid access and payment services.
- Investment, trading or financial advice, forex, contracts for difference and binary options.
- Lending, debt collection, debt relief and credit repair.
- Gambling, lotteries, sweepstakes and games of skill for money.
- Adult products and services.
- Cannabis, CBD, tobacco, vaping, alcohol and pharmaceuticals.
- Weapons, ammunition and their parts.
- Precious metals, gems and bullion.
- Charities, crowdfunding and political organizations.
- Travel, ticket resale, timeshares and membership clubs.
- Multi-level marketing.
04
Vezmo Accounts
- Use your receiving details only to receive money for your own business, from customers and partners you really do business with.
- Don’t use your account for personal, family or household purposes, or to receive or hold money for anyone else.
- Send money only for real business purposes, to recipients you know, and tell us the purpose truthfully when asked.
- Please contact us first about your account; we deal with our partners for you. This doesn’t stop you from using any complaint right the law gives you, or from contacting a regulator.
05
Stablecoin
- Receiving and sending stablecoin for your business through Vezmo Accounts is allowed under the Stablecoin Terms. Running a crypto business is a separate thing and needs approval (see above).
- Send only to wallets you have saved in Vezmo. For a send of $1,000 or more to your own wallet, we ask you to prove it is yours. Receive only from wallets you can show belong to you or to the person paying you.
- Don’t use mixers, tumblers, privacy coins or any service designed to hide where crypto-assets came from.
- Don’t send to or receive from wallets linked to sanctions, fraud, ransomware, darknet markets or theft.
06
Cards
- Use Vezmo cards only for business purposes, never for personal, family or household spending.
- Don’t use cards to buy cash or cash-like items (such as money orders, gift cards or crypto-assets) to move money out of your account, unless we allow it.
- Give cards only to your own team members, and make sure they follow this policy.
07
Information we may ask for
We may ask about your business, your customers, a payment or a transfer at any time, including invoices, contracts, proof of delivery and where funds came from. Answer truthfully and on time. If you don’t, we may limit your account.
08
If you break this policy
We decide, in good faith and at our discretion, whether activity breaks this policy, using our own reviews and our automated and AI-based risk systems. We don’t have to warn you first. We may refuse or reverse a transaction, hold funds, freeze or limit your account, lower your limits, suspend or close your account, and report activity to our partners and the authorities, as our Terms of Service describe. You are responsible for losses, fines and fees caused by your breach, including fines a partner or card network charges us.
09
Changes
We may update this policy. We give you at least 30 days’ notice of changes that restrict what you already do, unless the law, a partner or a card network requires a faster change. Other changes take effect when posted.
