What Vezmo can and cannot act as merchant of record for, and which categories carry a higher reserve.

Why this exists

When Vezmo acts as merchant of record, Vezmo carries the chargeback, the card-network liability and the regulatory exposure for what you sell. Where a merchant settles directly to their own account they carry it themselves, which is why this policy applies to the first arrangement and not the second.

Some categories are refused outright. Others are accepted with a higher reserve.

Not accepted

Vezmo will not act as merchant of record for:

Tech support / PC repair
Make-money-online, trading education & signals — including forex, binary options, investment advice and wealth coaching
Cryptocurrency in any form — including tokens, NFTs, mining and DeFi
Adult content or services
Gambling & betting
Pharmaceuticals & supplements
Weapons & ammunition
Debt relief & credit repair
Essay writing & academic services
Followers, engagement & review services
Drop-shipping of physical goods
Multi-level marketing

This list is not exhaustive. Vezmo may decline any business it reasonably believes presents comparable risk, and may add categories on notice.

Accepted, with a higher reserve

These are accepted, and carry a higher reserve rate because their dispute rates are higher:

SaaS / subscription products
Digital downloads
Coaching & consulting
Marketing agency services

Your reserve rate and hold period are shown in your dashboard.

What you must not do

Sell anything in the list above through your Vezmo account; describe your business as something other than what it is; use Vezmo to collect payments for services you do not actually supply; or change what you sell into a restricted category without telling us first.

If you breach this policy

Vezmo may suspend settlement, withhold payouts pending review, hold a higher reserve, or terminate your account. Amounts already collected are settled subject to the Seller Agreement, less any sums you owe under it.

Your clients are not affected by your breach. A client who has already paid has settled their obligation to you, and this policy does not change that.

Changes

Vezmo may update this policy on notice. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it.
